Daniel Cook Grand Organ Concert

  • St Mary's Cathedral, Sydney 2 St Marys Rd Sydney, NSW, 2000 Australia (map)
Daniel Cook

Daniel is Sub-Organist of Westminster Abbey. In addition to his daily work at the Abbey, he is Artistic Director of the Mousai Singers.

His work as an accompanist has taken him all over the world. Other projects have included a performance of the complete organ works of Messiaen, and recordings of the organ music of Stanford, Brewer, Sumsion, Dyson, and Alcock.

In recent years Daniel has developed a strong commitment to new music, particularly through his work for the John Armitage Memorial Trust (JAM). In 2009 he was soloist for a collaborative CD release of contemporary music jointly promoted by JAM and Choir and Organ magazine.

Tickets $20, school children free.

In the Grand Organ Concert Series, organists from around the world come to perform concerts of virtuoso programmes, showcasing their own talent and the variety of the Cathedral’s organs.
